Mission of the Gospel Truth

Are you hungry for the first love the world has ever known, the love of God? His love is greater than anything else we have ever experienced. After creating humans in Genesis, God called them very good. In Hebrews, very good means exceedingly heartbreakingly, abundantly, richly, loudly, immeasurably good in a festive, generous, happy, intelligent, charming, splendid way.

We all have heard how Eve was tricked into eating the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. She then convinced her husband to do the same, and then they were ashamed and hid from God. They then lost their home and a close relationship with God. But have you ever looked at it from God's perspective? How He must have felt? He lost that close relationship with His creation. It's sad to think about. They disobeyed Him, and God's garden was alone.

The part that gets me the most, though, is that He knew what was going to happen, but He did it anyway. He followed through with His creation and plan because He knew He would send His Son, Jesus Christ, to save us. To redeem us. It truly shows God's character. How much He loves and cares for us. His desire is for us to be drawn to Him. He wants that relationship with us. He isn't some distant God who you can't reach. He is literally holding His hand out waiting for you to grasp it so He can pull you in close and never let you go. There is nothing you have done that is too far for His love to reach you. Zephaniah 3:17 says, "The Lord your God is among you, a warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will be quiet in his love. He will delight in you with singing." And Romans 8:38-39 states, "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Once we grab hold of our God, nothing can separate us from Him. He delights in us and sings over us. Our God is a personal God who is continuously working to rebuild what was lost, all we have to do is accept it. Accept His Son so that we may have that closeness with God forevermore.

Jesus loves you!
