Daily Obedience

Daily Obedience

On this journey of transformation, I don't know about you, but I'm going to be honest: I wanted a boom-in-your-face transformation. Where I know and feel the full effects right away. But I have realized that is not how God works. Since we are given free will, we move at our own pace, even though we have every intention to be all in all the time, trials and tribulations do get in our way. Through God's grace and mercy, God gives us a seed to plant or even a desire to be transformed, but are we being intentional in planting those to be transformed, or are we being distracted by social media, or our past telling us, 'you didn't make it before, what makes you think you can do it this time?' This time it IS different! This time, I am choosing to walk in obedience every single day. Mark 8:34 says, "Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: 'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me." It is a daily discipline, a daily dedication to put God first. Seek Him, and you will find Him. If we build a space for God, He will fill it. Filling our hearts, our minds, our habits, our homes, and flowing outwardly to our lives. It's not about perfection; it's about continuously putting off your old and picking up your new. It's like Ephesians 4:22-24 says, "You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." True righteousness and holiness is not perfection; it is following God every day and seeking Him in any and every circumstance. It's not a boom-in-your-face change; it is a gradual change that will fully transform your life, past the point of looking back. Past the point of just being delivered from your past but fully being delivered INTO your promise. There may be feelings of walking in the wilderness, but your obedience in that time is building you up for more. God is working through the wilderness to change you, to transform your thoughts, habits, and life. Keep moving forward by maturing spiritually. Pick up your Bible and make time for God to transform you from the inside out. Lord, I pray You will change me, renew me, and transform me from the inside out. As well as anyone else who reads this. You're a good, good Father, and Your timing is perfect. May we choose to live each day through obedience to You. I pray this in Your Son's mighty name, Amen!!

This is the year of being transformed, of dreaming big, and of moving forward! You ain't seen nothing yet! Everything changes from here!!

God bless you,
